Hiring - Estimator


COMMERCIAL DIVISION BASIC PURPOSE AND FUNCTION: Support Commercial Division sales activities; coordinate logistics and documentation of Commercial projects as assigned; maintain company quality standards. This is a full-time estimator position and reports to Vice President/Sales/Operations.

Hiring an estimator in Idaho and Oregon.



1. Estimator support duties

  • Perform field work as assigned by division manager.
    • Explore documentation in order to gain a deep understanding of the project requirements.
    • Visit sites, warehouses and other venues necessary to do the estimate.
    • Measure roofs.
    • Take photos & provide photo descriptions using estimator platform.
    • Itemize repairs & work required.
    • Review extending scope of work & schedule follow up or prepare bid.
  • Maintain accurate project information from start to finish as assigned.
    • Supply Project information data.
    • Coordinate appropriate manufacturer’s paperwork and documentation with administrative assistant as needed, including warranty information.
  • Assist with follow up tasks as assigned for sold projects
  • Perform job-site visits representing sales person and liaison with foremen in the field.

2. Estimate Generation

  • Generate estimates as assigned by Vice President of Sales from new and existing customers.
  • Detailed scope of work.
  • Track assigned estimates and submit by due dates.
  • Follow up on estimates with customer to check status

3. Other Duties as assigned

  • Build and maintain long term relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate with workforce.
  • Attend company meetings as assigned.
Responsible for following all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as written.

Salary: 45,000 to 65,000 DOE

Skills & Physical Requirements

Ability to be professional, friendly, courteous, tactful and maintain composure in dealing with customers and co-workers. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be fluent in English. Ability to listen, follow instructions and learn new tasks.

Requires working knowledge of multiple roofing systems that may be used in application and repairs.

Requires self-motivation and ability to prioritize. Must be task-oriented and dependable. Needs strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Requires attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Team oriented with ability to excel in a team environment.

Must have working knowledge of windows-based computer systems and have the ability to learn construction-based software as required by the job.

Mental alertness is required to ensure accurate completion of work activities. Requires knowledge of basic math. Ability to follow company policies and procedures and applicable State and Federal laws.

Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination required. Ability to reach, lift and maneuver supplies and ladders up to 80 lbs.
